Summer Visitors

Since we're too chicken to go visiting with two kids people are coming our way instead. Last week our dear friends the Harts came to see us. Ryan grew up with Steve and then Mindy and Steve lived next door (a small basement made into two apartments) when we were all newly weds. After college they ran off to Wisconsin for Doctorate school, so we haven't seen them much.

Cassia and Kylie Hart hanging out.

Kylie had her first birthday while they were here, so we had a little party for her.

Our other friends from Seattle Nate (who Ryan also grew up with) and Amy Grigg also came for the day. Cassia was totally living up someone reading stories. Amy has little 6 week Lucy in her arms.

Evelyn Grigg was very interested in the cake.

The party crowd.

Cassia, Kylie, and Evelyn.

The girls again. I love how Cassia has a dress and pants on in this picture. Obviously her dad dressed her ;)

Playtime

with the dads. Moms are in the kitchen making dinner or taking care of babies of course.

Happy Birthday Kylie. Thanks so much Harts and Griggs for coming to see us. It was so much fun to have you here.

Madsen is pretty much the handsomest little guy ever.

He's got us quite charmed with his sweet smile

and cute laugh.

All tuckered out.

Sitting like a big boy.

Cassia still likes to cheese it up for the camera.

Cassia and Madsen get along better all the time. Frequently Cassia tells me that she loves Madsen and they are friends. And then there's time like they other day when she threw a ball at his head (oops). Ya win some, ya lose some.

Ryan and Cassia. Cassia loves to play with her dad when he gets home from work. Someone who can somewhat keep up with her energy.

We love our family!

These are a little old, but Grandma Whittier came to see us at the beginning of the summer and I got some really cute pictures with her and the kids.

You made me cry, Crystal! But that's okay - it was a happiness cry. I love your little family so much and it was soooo fun to see the pictures of the rising generation of genious'. If these adorable little children are anything like their parents, the world is going to be a much smarter place. Thanks again for sharing so much of life through your camera -
I love you lots!

Gotta love visitors! Madsen looks so much like his dad, it's killing me! He's a cutie and Cassia gets cuter every day.
