| Tori got her first pony-tail on Cassia's birthday. It didn't last long, but hey, it was there. |
| Cassia excited to dig into the presents. |
| Some much needed drawing paper. |
| And paper again...hmmm....she also got some Princess make-up, a magnetic drawing set, a couple games, a 10 puzzle set, books, workbooks, games, a lap-harp, and... |
| Sunglasses - the only present she actually asked for, besides a turtle, which we're not ready to get into the pet stage with this girl just yet. |
| She asked for a Cinderella cake...hmm...how on earth to do that. |
| The Dollar Tree figurines saved the day, although the Cinderella one didn't really look like Cinderella to me, so it became a 5 princess cake instead, for the big 5 year old princess herself. |
| Blowing, blowing, blowing, blowing, blowing. |
| Cassia's "cupcake". |
| She was so excited to lick the frosting '5' off of Cinderella. Silly girl! |
A few things about Cassia at 5 years old:
Likes: Her play make-up, gymnastics, reading, make notes and cards for the family, writing, pizza and breadsticks, hot dogs and corn dogs, swinging, parks, primary.
Dislikes: Onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, getting her hair done, things that she thinks are too hard.
Things she's good at or is learning to do: reading, handwriting, addition, subtraction, telling time, puzzles (working on a 300 piece from her birthday right now...it's a big new challenge), rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and starting to learn bridges.
Cassia amazes every day. She has a passion for learning, anything, and everything. She's always wants to try and learn something new, even if it scares her a little bit. She's WAY excited to be starting Kindergarten in the fall and will begin in a Spanish Immersion program, so she'll have the oppurtunty to learn Spanish while attending school.
She is becoming very independent and helps with so many things around the house and with her brother and sister. She helps us to remember to be kind and happy, and she loves life and her family. She's started reading her scriptures everyday and is learning more about Jesus and how to be like him. I love this little girl so much and am glad she's my daughter. She helps me to want to excel in life and as a mother.
