Korea Trip - Part I (up the mountain...and down the other side)

Mid November we took a 5 day trip to Korea (yes, that means South Korea).  We went there two years ago and have been eager to get back.  As Japan's closest neighbor is really accessible and reasonable to travel there.  We enjoyed our trip.  Warning...too many pictures!

Some giant buildings near our Airbnb

Off to explore the city
We have become accustomed to Japanese characters, but this writing....crazy!
The fall colors were amazing!
Follow that army
Seoul has portions of this old city wall up along this hillside (some perhaps originally, but likely restored).
Even without the wall they had the wall
Up and...

Up we go

Starting to see the city on our urban hike

The love locks

So many LOCKS!
Enjoying the foliage
Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT take pictures of American children in Korea.  Pretty soon it becomes a community event.  The Korea Grandmas's ate up these kids.  I'm grateful none of us are celebrities!
Take that!

Some nice new friends wanted to take a family picture for us.

Can you spot the castle?  Couldn't get over the beautiful fall colors.  Our fall is "brown and down" in Yokosuka...but the spring makes up for it.
